SUMMARY:School Supply Drive
DESCRIPTION:Dear EAMA parents and students\, \nOne of the things we take great pride in here at our Academy is our commitment to Community Service here in San Benito County that we do a few times per year. With that said we are excited to announce a 2nd annual event that all of us can take part of to help the children in our community who need it most. \nWe have partnered up with the San Benito County Office of Education and a new local nonprofit organization called the “Angels ‘R’ Watching Foundation” to collect and distribute school supplies for the upcoming school year to socioeconomic disadvantaged students. If you are familiar with the yearly event “Stuff The Bus” that the United Way puts on every year in the Target Parking Lot\, our event is meant to compliment all the backpacks they are distributing. \nEAMA will be the headquarters for this collection and distribution of these school supplies and here is what we are going to do: \n1. I will be setting up some bins in the main lobby with class labels on them (EARLY/BASIC\, CORE\, BBC/EXTREME\, WARRIOR CORE/BBC/EXTREME). From the period of July 10 to July 27\, we will collect school supplies per program class. At the end of those 3 weeks\, the class that has the most supplies collected will win a PIZZA PARTY! \n2. On Saturday\, August 12 we will be holding our event. Children in the community chosen by the Hollister School District will come to our Academy to collect these supplies and our students are welcome and encouraged to volunteer that day. \nGiving Value in the martial arts is an extremely valuable lesson we teach here at EAMA. We have an amazing martial arts family that has the power to so much good in our community and we look forward to doing that whenever we can! \n \n

SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Brigade
DESCRIPTION:LOCAL BUSINESSES! WE ARE LOOKING FOR KICK-A-THON PLEDGES/SPONSORS FOR OUR THANKSGIVING MEAL BRIGADE! \n  \nFor the past 4 years\, our Academy has partnered with and raised money for the Community Food Bank of San Benito County to feed local families who cannot afford it\, a full Thanksgiving Meal. \n  \nWe do this by holding a fundraising Kick-a Thon a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving\, where our students collect pledges from families\, friends\, local businesses\, etc. for them to participate by doing 540 kicks within an hour and a half.  We then volunteer at the food bank the weekend prior to Thanksgiving to hand out the food that we helped raise money for to the families. \n  \nOur goal this year is $5000\, which will feed just over 80 families. As a martial arts school we know this is easily attainable\, but with community involvement we can exceed that goal and feed even more families! \n  \nIf you are a local business and would like to sponsor our event\, it would greatly be appreciated toward our goal and it would be tax-deductible as the Community Food Bank is a 501c3 non-profit organization. \n  \nWe will mention you and post your business logo with our gratitude on our website\, as well as all social media posts. \n  \nVenmo and Paypal info is below: \nVenmo: @EAMA-hollister \nPaypal: enterprisemartialarts@gmail.com \n  \nFor additional information\, you can call us at 831-638-9384 \nThank you for any consideration!
