School Supply Drive

Dear EAMA parents and students,

One of the things we take great pride in here at our Academy is our commitment to Community Service here in San Benito County that we do a few times per year. With that said we are excited to announce a 2nd annual event that all of us can take part of to help the children in our community who need it most.

We have partnered up with the San Benito County Office of Education and a new local nonprofit organization called the “Angels ‘R’ Watching Foundation” to collect and distribute school supplies for the upcoming school year to socioeconomic disadvantaged students. If you are familiar with the yearly event “Stuff The Bus” that the United Way puts on every year in the Target Parking Lot, our event is meant to compliment all the backpacks they are distributing.

EAMA will be the headquarters for this collection and distribution of these school supplies and here is what we are going to do:

1. I will be setting up some bins in the main lobby with class labels on them (EARLY/BASIC, CORE, BBC/EXTREME, WARRIOR CORE/BBC/EXTREME). From the period of July 10 to July 27, we will collect school supplies per program class. At the end of those 3 weeks, the class that has the most supplies collected will win a PIZZA PARTY!

2. On Saturday, August 12 we will be holding our event. Children in the community chosen by the Hollister School District will come to our Academy to collect these supplies and our students are welcome and encouraged to volunteer that day.

Giving Value in the martial arts is an extremely valuable lesson we teach here at EAMA. We have an amazing martial arts family that has the power to so much good in our community and we look forward to doing that whenever we can!
